I have a dynamic IP address and this person said that they have a tracker?? And also that my space gave them my IP address and told them my name???

Reason I'm asking is this "girl" said I supposedly made a myspace page about her she said she contacted myspace and a lawyer and said that myspace gave her my IP address which was the same as her supposed tracker??? Now she says shes going to sue me for defamation and slander??? Oh and that she now knows where I live thanks to my IP address???

If you want to stay anonymous on the internet I recommend going to this website and downloading this program. it is not foolproof but it is a whole lot better then running around the Internet naked.
Also, Myspace is a very open social netowrking site with many spammers and fakers on there so be careful and vigilant when browsing pages from people you do not know.
Myspace itself can read your IP address but individuals are not able to unless they have hacks or programs running on thier page.
*Well, in your specific situation, unless it is just an empty threat, if the lawyrs contacted Myspace then they could in theory get your IP address. If it is in fact true that she is going to sue you, then i would recommend getting a lawyer and getting his/her advice on your next course of action.
