that means, read the contents first; it maybe different from what the cover illustrates. People tend to judge people based upon what others say and/or what they "think" instead of what they really know. It's not our job as humans to judge each other; God is the Alpha and Omega, His judgment is the ultimate decision we should worry about...

It means that beauty is only skin deep. The cover of the book may be beautiful, but the contents may be horrendous. Likewise, the cover may look less favorable, but the contents could be truly amazing. Things aren't always what they seem on the outside, you have to get to know the person or thing better to make a determination on how that person or thing truly is. A good example is someone who has a lot of tattoo's. Most people look at that as very dirty, like their a hoodlum or something. But, let me tell you, I have many friends that have numerous tattoo's that would give the shirt off their back for someone, whereas someone who looks clean-cut wouldn't even look your way if you had a problem. The same goes with people that have multiple piercings on their body. Just because somebody looks a little different doesn't necessarily mean that they're different. It just means that they show their personality different than most people.

The phrase, don't judge a book by it's cover, means not to judge someone by what they look like.

Don't judge someone by the way they look on the outside. It is what is on the inside that counts.

U knw wat!! it is true , u cant judge a book or rather say , a person by the outer cover, it can differe from one person to another as it depends on onces HEART, and to knw a person's heart .. it is not that easy... BUT trust me girl.... it is hard to find such people now a days as it is true people, act a lot now a days than being true to themselves....They try to imitate others...rather than being themselves .............

It means that you can't look at a person on the outside and tell what he or she is like on the inside.

That even the brightest, most interesting covers can contain boring, meaningless words.

Looks aren't everything. It isn't what's on the outside that counts but on the inside.
