on my right hand , i have several lines that make a star ( kind of like this : * ) above the headline. what does it mean?

Above the Head Line is The Heart Line, which deals with all the emotions and events that are centered around love, whether it be your ability to love, or be loved. In general, the stronger and deeper the line, the stronger and warmer your devotions.
It begins beneath either the index finger or middle finger and extends across to the edge of the palm on the side of the little finger.
Special markings( in this instance, the star) on this line indicate specific events which occurred in your life. The line can be divided into three parts to help judge when certain events occurred or might occur: if it is topmost of the Heart line it represents youth, if it is lower than the forementioned it represents adult, if it is on the right side represents old age.

They sound like Xs. Usually means that you have some psychic abilities. Crossed lines, in the form of Xs, almost anywhere on either hand are indicative of psychic abilities, or just being "sensitive" to things others are not aware of. You are the only one that really knows if you have such abilities or not.
