It is not getting anyone anywhere's to keep on talking about this cause it does come down to this: Every woman has the right to choose and yes it is their body not ours so why worry about it?
What if you are so dead set against abortion and then one day you might have to have one yourself then what?
People should not judge people for having abortions cause i am sure they feel bad for having to do it but that is them not you.

I am for abortion and if anything ever happened to me that would make me want to have an abortion then i would have one and if i did what does that have to do with people that are against abortion?

i am so with you on this subject..i am prochoice and proud of it..i wish people would keep their opions to themselves..if they only knew the circumstances as to why the women wanted an abortion, maybe then they wouldnt be so judgmental..i dont condemn anyone who has or needs to have an abortion, as both my mother, and best friend had one..if i needed one for whatever reason, i would get one..not that i would willingly do it, but for reasons, yes..

First off, A fetus is an unborn child. It feels, but can not speak for itself. That is why people are concerned. They may feel it is their duty to speak for the unborn.
Also, there are some women out there that get pregnant over and over and just abort their babies as if it were nothing.

However, I do believe that there are some circumstances that are acceptable in abortion, such as if both you and your child are going to die if something is not done.

I did a research paper on Abortion vs. Adoption a few years ago and read in my research that children in the womb do feel because when they are aborted they flinch and give a scream that can not be heard due to them being surrounded by fluid, but their mouthes make the screaming movement.

If you have a healthy child within your body, I do not see a reason to abort when there are people that are unable to conceive perfectly willing to raise your child.

People are free to their opinions, but before anyone has an opinion on this topic, they should really do some research.

Not only does abortion hurt the unborn child in the abortion process, but some children survive attempted abortions. I read one account of a young girl that had nightmares of burning. They later linked the nightmares to her being a survivor of an attempted abortion in which some substance was used that cause her flesh to feel as if were on fire. The methods of abortion sound horrible.
Also, it effects the mother's body. Some women that have abortions have complications or side effects later in life. In fact the woman that originally filed in the court case Roe vs. Wade (which made abortion legal in the US) was in the media a while back telling of how her abortion effected her and how she is now against abortion

As I said, everyone is allowed their opinions, there are some cases when abortion may be an acceptable option, but before you have a true opinion, do research for yourself.

Just like the people that are Pro Choice feel that it is the woman's right, the Pro Life people feel that their voices should be heard for the children.
I believe that it is necessary to know and understand both sides to everything.

Well, I do not agree with abortion. Though I worry more that the woman knows all the facts it involves, all the pros and cons more than I am that she is having one. I am not going to look down on a person for having one, but I do believe there are better options than destroying her body (which having abortions do). I would like her to know that if she would ever want to have children that every time she has an abortion it reduces her chances by 10%, so if she had three abortions her chances of having a child later would be 70%. Things of this nature is what I am more concerned with, basically her health, and being comfortable with her decision. My opinion will remain that it is murder, but this is my opinion.
**There are some women who really want the child but just cannot keep it due to medical reasons.

It is a very complex issue. I am against abortion as a form of contraception. In an ideal world Girls/Women would take responsibility, and sort out their contraception before having sex. I do believe that in some circumstances abortion is an option a woman would understandably want to explore. Having never been in a situation like this it is not my right to judge other women for their decisions, nor is it anyone elses, however all opinions are valid so long as they are backed by knowledge.

You said it yourself, 'they feel bad.' There's a big difference between feeling bad over a lost wallet and a lost life..two lives for that matter..that of the unborn kid and that of the mother.

Have you met mothers and couples who were haunted by the experience and by the fact that they came to realize that the ultimate decision was theirs but because the 'doors' of opportunity can be easily accessed they went on to buy the ultimate freedom?

There's nothing worse than trying to wish it never did happen and wake up with the realization that they made it happen.

Thus, denying them their right(?) save them from pain.

We must not forget, it is also every woman's right to be a heroine in their own short story. In this case, they're not saving the world but their children. Hope, this capacity for compassion and sacrifice isn't lost and muddled in the cry for human freedom.

Well in order for people to respect your question and point of view, learn to use correct grammar and spelling. It really helps.

To answer your question it is because we are human and it hurts us to see one of our own (especially a defenseless baby) murdered. We punish our murderers by putting them in prison, maybe we should do the same for baby killers.

I would never have to have an abortion because I take every step I need to NOT get pregnant. Birth control can be obtained for free or discounted as well as condoms. If you get pregnant, chances are it is because you didn't use one or both of the aforementioned. You make a mistake, you deal with the consequences of that mistake. If that means being a woman and having the baby or even giving the baby up for adoption, so be it. Children don't deserve to die because of adults careless mistakes.

People keep talking about this because people get passionate about things that cause them concern. Some people are passionate about a woman's right to choose, some are passionate about protecting precious life. Passion gets people fired up, sways decisions and brings about change.
I'm not for abortion and the reason I would be against your abortion would be if you were doing it as 'afterthought contraception'. (I take no issue with abortion due to incest or women who find out they have terminal cancer, for example, because I have never been in either of those very tragic positions.)
I am opposed to abortion if it occurs as a result of irresponsibility; when it could have been prevented by the use of a condom or by simply keeping ones knees together.
Abortion as late-contraception throws responsibility out the window and results in the horrific deaths of millions of unborn babies.

The same reason people having a problem with Stealing, Lying, Cheating, Murder, Abuse, etc. It's just wrong. If you see someone commit a crime you shouldn't just let it happen.
If I saw an old women get beat by her daughter, I would at least call the police. I wouln't say, "Well that is the daughter's mom not my mom."

And if you find yourself in the same situation then lets hope you are strong enough to do the right thing.

Honey, I'm not worried about you or any other woman who chooses to have an abortion. YOU guys are not my concern, your innocent babies are. If you were the only one to think about, then I wouldn't care what you do. But the fact is, your decision to have an abortion ends someone elses life. Someone who can't defend themselves. Someone who, just because they are not considered a "REAL BABY", doesn't count in your eyes. Someone who, obviously, in you eyes is insignificant and doesn't matter. Those babies do matter to some of us. If you don't want them, there are numerous couples on waiting lists who would take them in a heartbeat. Why make the babies suffer for something that they had no control over?

As for your comment that one day I might have one myself, well it wouldn't happen. I am horrified by the thought of abortion, not to mention the fact that it is against my religion. I would never want to face my God and explain to him why I chose to murder one of his children. It is his choice to end a pregnancy, not mine or yours.

I can argue that a woman doesn't own her body, but that God does, but for anyone who isn't a Christian, that arguement would carry no weight with them. However, that is how I was brought up to believe, and that is how I will teach my kids. Even if it is YOUR body, what about the babies body? Do you have any concern over that? Have you ever seen the film THE SILENT SCREAM? It has ultrasound footage of an abortion on a 12 week gestation baby, and it shows the baby obviously trying to get away from the suction device, and it shows its mouth open up in what appears to be a scream.

I also read a story written by a nurse who used to work for an abortion doctor, who told of the very first late term abortion that she witnessed. She told how the doctor pulled the babies body out, and its little legs were kicking and the doctor shoved a pair of scissors into the base of its skull and it immediatly flailed its arms and legs out like it was in severe pain. He then basically scrambled its brains with an instrument, and finally its little body went limp. I will never believe that those babies don't feel pain when they are being killed.

That is why we are worried about it and why we do feel it is our business. Aparently you women don't love or care about your own babies, so someone has to. They don't even have their mothers, the person who is suppose to love them unconditionally, to defend them, so who is suppose to except those of us who are Anti-abortion? If all of our ranting and preaching can even make one woman change her mind about abortion, then it is well worth all the thumbs downs, reports, and nasty comments that we get on here.

I really don't think the main guest everyone is again is just abortion. I think what everyone is against is that kids are doing the deed to get pregnant and then just turn around and have a abortion with out there parent knowing or even having to pay a dime for it. The question is why is everyone again having to have the tax dollors go toward stuff like this situation and not just the serious one like rap orabuse and stuff. That should be all that we should have to pay for a tax payers. If a teen get pg because they could protect themselves the right way well that is there problem to deal with.
