Why did Mulligan's Pub in Atlanta close?

Question

I want to get an authentic Luther Burger (a.k.a. donut burger). I heard Mulligan's Pub in Decatur, GA is where it started. I looked on the internet for it and found out that it's now closed. Why did they close and where can I now find a place that sell such a burger?

On their myspace page they announce that they are closing but do not provide details. Here's what it says:

***An improtant note to all*** Mulligans is closing. Our official last night is Saturday Sept 30th, 2006. We thank you for everything you have given us (money), and we hope you enjoyed everything we gave you (the gout). we wish we could have stayed open untill Friday the 13th (best laid plans...), but circumstances beyond our control have changed the date. So come out and join us on our last night and listen to Austre Giltrap and Toy Devils, order a hamdog, and drink the last shot of Jagermeister. A tearfull goodbye from your friends at Mulligans, Smack


As for where you can get another Luther Burger, I'd have to say for now, you'll have to make it at home.

Normally a business close because it not making money, rent, utilities etc. outweigh income, so overhead to operate keep them losing money, even though they have many customers. Another is competition, other places can operate cheaper, maybe they own the building and not pay rent, so, they can sell cheaper and still make a profit. The other reason with a place that serve alcohol is; they got busted serving to minors. This my part of the story, I not been in Georgia for many years, lived in Augusta, so, the only place I can find a Burger there is find a McDonald's or Burger King etc. Sorry.

Maybe the business collapsed and the owner moved to another place.
