It just depends on the person- their upbringing, age, culture, etc.
I personally like both. On one of my cds I have rock, pop, rap, and 50's songs. Call me weird but I like almost everything.

it depends on the ear of the listener...LOL
well, it's quite true that some people prefer rock/loud music even though there's nothing beautiful about it...
I like softer music, that's why i don't know the feeling of getting attracted with loud music

Softer music is more calm. Thats why I only listen to some rock. It depends on the person

It depends what mood i am in, some days i prefer soft music, but then sometimes i just listen to loud heavy metal music. Its tough to be in a quiet environment for so long, you just need some noise every now and then.

it depends on the person, sometimes they like loud stuff and then quiet stuff, i guess it really depends on the person. i like loud in the morning and then softer stuff at night.
