Hey guys I would like some help. I have been riding competitevely with this stable for a very long time. I greatly appreciate my riding instructors. They are both in their 40's , one is 50ish, but that doesnt really matter. I would like to know if you can think of anything that would be a great xmas gift for them. Horse related? Maybe something to help the barn? (Its a public stable) IDEAS PLEASE :) ALso it is an equestrian english stable, not a western place

as your not very specific about what sort of gift, except being horse related you could check out the below sites for some great ideas? although I think the last one is mostly "gifts for your horse!" lol, good luck. :-)

I am assuming they have a lot of equipment and don't really need anything. Is there anything that needs to be painted or repaired? (Like there never is at a stable, lol) Possibly put in a couple hours painting fences, walls, etc.
Another good idea is homemade horse treats- do a search online and you can get a ton of recipes. Another thing I saw was holiday bran mash for the horses, including supplements like msm and glucos.
One thing that never fails is a certificate with some higher end instructor in that field (jumping, hunseat, dressage?). Everyone takes lessons, and they can get costly after a while. This is quite a hefty price sometimes depending on the level of riding that your instructors do.
Or: customized name plate for the barn or the horses. I am talking a wood or metal sign with the name on it and some horse in their discipline.
One more: a customized embroidered jacket/shirt with their logo on it, or their name and a figure (hunt, jump, or dressage)
You never specified a price range, and these vary quite a bit.
Good luck!

If you have been there 4 a wile now you sould have some pics by now you could make up a photo album...old people love stuff like that because you put time into it n not just went out and got something that was made in China..lol.. but i think they will love anything you give them its the fact that you gave them something that they sould love so dont fuss too much over the perfect gift
Good Luck im sure you will find something

I am unsure where you are located, but my own sibling owns a ranch -- and breeds horses there -- so I would suggest going to the Rural King -- there are many different pastel-color items specificially for the horse lover and rancher there -- including Lead Ropes, Halters, anything having to help with the grooming of the horse is appreciated (all of these things have to be regularly cleaned and replaced) -- so check there.

Both of my trainers are in their 40s and 50s, too. Last year I got them sweatshirts with their fav. horse on them. They loved it and are wearing them still this year. You could go to a State Line Tack or any tack store, really. They have a bunch of horse reated christmas gifts.

first of all if its for a woman think of maybe jewelry maybe with some horse symbol on it maybe a horse shoe or horse head or something, and then if its a man then maybe something not so horsey?
what about buying them... or even better making them a jump with or without standards and maybe personalize it for them or for the barn they are at. or something for shows like a director style chair with their name on it. it all depends on how much you are planning on spending and working on it. or you can buy their horses something? maybe a stall plate if they don't have one already. hmmm there is a lot of things u can get. just search around.
Good Luck

Last year for Christmas I got my trainer one of the fold up sling type lounge chairs and had her name embroidered on it. She really liked it, since she could stretch out and relax a few minutes at the shows.
