AMD is everybit as dependable and probably more! Save some bucks by purchasin the AMD and spend it on ram and a hi end vid card! I switched to building AMD based systems 10 years ago for cost reasons and have yet to see a failure! As far as Intel users here, let them spend their money, oh and to Matt, only a total idiot would try to overclock a processor that runs at these speeds! There would be NO reason to!

Both are good but the Intel has a larger L2 cache and can overclock better, provided improved cooling. However if you want the AMD it is also a very good choice, it is just slightly under the Core 2.

I love people on here with their brilliant analysis. "Go with the AMD, save yourself some bucks" "just go ahead and let the Intel people spend their money." Now of course any benchmark would tell you that the E6600 actually outperforms the 5200+, but here is what makes it even better, the 5200+ costs more. Thats right, costs more. Take a look:http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=2470587&sku=CP1-AM2-5200 and http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2341562&CatId=2396
so basically you can go with the Intel that is faster AND cheaper, or the AMD that is slower AND more expensive.

the twin center is often a smart selection whether its not a center technologies. as far because of the fact the fee is in contact get a very good after marketplace cooler and overclock it on your loose will. choose for the 1st one. 915s are good overclocks. Ram isn't suggested yet for that equipment I`d advise one million GB of fee ram.. pass play

They are both darn quick. I'd go with whichever you can find cheapest and sink the savings in to a better video card.
