so i understand from your question that you are not?that you feel miserable or lost?well, this feeling comes from many reasons one of which is searching for answers you feel will never be found.
I think misery is when I doubt my own beliefs. Including my values or things I should value like my own religion. This question is frequently asked by people from the west. I do not know if you are western or not, but I can tell you if you believe in God or even in religions you would have found the key to your happiness.
Man is a weak and venerable creature. You get bored with things and that's normal, but there are things that make you unique and different from animals (no offence). You can think and know your limits, if Man over steps borders and limits, His life becomes CHAOS!
Find who you really are and what you believe in, I know I sound poetic, but I found satisfaction and peacefulness within me when I knew about the reality and end'meaning' of life, and trust me, there is no other way.
I am a very religious person by the way, but that is not the point of it at all. You should hold to reality wherever you find it, and try to swim across the theme people are holding to. Over-come your prejudices and discriminations towards things that are srange for you. And wonder, why are some people more peaceful than others in diff. parts of the world?

Stress plays a big part in making someone misrible. You can lead a fairly happy life with minimum stress. To get rid of stress just try to take a deep breathe and telling youself it's not as big of a deal as you're making it out to be. A lot of people stress over dumb things like getting mud on shoes or a hole in their clothes. When you think about it, it's not that big of a deal. These things can be washed and mended. Try to reconize what things you stress over that there's really no point in stressing over at all.
Another thing is anger. Some people get angered real easy over silly things such as someone breaking something that could easily be replaced, or spilling something that could easyly be cleaned up.
Having friends that can make you laugh everyday can help out too as well and having a since of humor. Reading jokes and comics, such as calvin and hobbs, and watching comidies can make you laugh which is healthy and makes you happy.
Becareful about money too, that can easly make someone unhappy if you get stressed or frustrated or irritated over it.
Hope I've been of help.
Oh and becoming a veggitarian might help too ;)

First, decide to be happy.. The Dalai Lama, said: "I believe that the very purpose of our life is to seek happiness." He then explained that he believed that happiness can be achieved by training, or disciplining, the mind and the heart. "A mind," he said, "is all the basic equipment we need to achieve complete happiness." Develop close warm relationships. Concentrate on a few intimate friends rather lots of acquaintances Most important of all cultivate a close personal relationship with your Creator, because being spiritual creatures, we can not be happy without it.

I used to be very disapointed with my life and one day I just decided that I was tired of wastiing my life thinking about every mistake I ever made, and mourning everything I don't have in my life that I want to have.
One day I took the time to try to figure out how to fix things, and I decided that from then on I was going to be happy with my life, and try my hardest to enjoy whatever situation came my way. It sounds too easy to work, but it actually worked for me. I figured out that happiness is not something you have to wait around for, because it isn't something that "happens to you"...It is something you create for yourself.
I suggest learning to focus on the things about your life that make you feel good and find things to like about yourself, and then try to fix the things that aren't so cool.
Fixing things completely might not happen overnight, but I think it helps when you put yourself on the right track, and you know that you are headed in the right direction....even if it might take you a while to get exactly where you want to be.
If you are not happy, you need to figure out why, and then figure out how you change things. There are always some things you can't change, so for those things you just need to learn to have a different attitude about those things...you need to do this for your own happiness and to make life more bearable. This worked wonders for me and my blah attitude.
Smile and the world smiles with you. It's so true

This is the philosophy "channel". According to the ancient philosopher Aristotle (384-322 BC) the ultimate happiness is "contemplation of the world (universe)" This makes sense as that is what God does and presumably he is happy.

Life is complex, in a world where everybody has different ideals, moral and emotions. What you CAN do is set your own rules and play your own game. Take the advice of Socrates: "Know thyself". Remember, you have the power to trascend*** Make your OWN reality.
