=there is something in psychology called "comfortable misery". It applies to all nationalities and personalities. It means we get comfortable where we are such as a typical dysfunctional families way of life and later create one of our own. It explains why welfare crosses over from generation to generation, and why children of alcoholics tend to marry alcoholics. It is because after living this way for a long time it tends to feel natural and comfortable so history repeats itself. It is very hard to break out of it once consumed by it because we are afraid to break away into the unknown cause the feeling of breaking away from what we know is scary and uncomfortable.

Anytime someone lumps ALL the members of one group together and maintains that some cultural characteristic is true of them all, that person has strayed into the field of racial stereotyping--and their assertion is undoubtedly wrong.

Cultural stereotyping is racism, and racism is blindly ignorant.

This is all beside the undeniable fact that whatever you mean by "ghetto" cannot possibly be what i mean by the term, you being you with your background and me being me with mine (50 year old college educated professional and home-owning mother who lives in a very small very liberal northern CA town).

Try not to make pronouncements about a whole group of people, please. Such does nothing more then show your ignorance, my dear.
