pure Americana!

All of my neighbors in my apartment building are caucasion, as in ethnic background. I do not know their nationality. Nationality is your citizenship, not your ethnicity. I don't know why lots of people get confused about that.
You can be a black man who was born in France, therefore you are french in nationality. If you are black who was born and raised in france, you are french and if you currently live in the US, you aren't considered an American until you take a test to be an american citizen. Once you pass that, you are french and american citizen.

My ethnic background is asian as in filipino. I was born and raised and currently live in the United States of America, therefore I am American.
When people ask me, what's my natiionality, I say American.
And they go, "No you're not, What are you?" I say "I'm not?" Ok I'm human.
And I keep answering their questions like a smart alec until they ask the question properly.

hhaha such a random question!
But don't you mean ethnicity, not nationality?
Cause then their nationality would be the same as mine.
But! My neighbor's ethnicity is Irish, and his wife's is Filipino.
