Just scroll down, give 'em a thumbs down (because it's not as if they wrote anything, they just copied-and-pasted from sites like Wikipedia), and it should remain hidden.

sometimes it's hard to keep things to a minimum. When I answer I like to give out all the information I can to help people. I don't keep track of how long the answer is, just how well it will help ther person asking. It's not hard to use a scroll wheel on a mouse or the scroll bar on the side of the screen.
If you asked a question for example in the computer section about removing a virus and I knew how and explained all the way up until you actually remove the virus and there were two or three steps left and I just stopped because I felt the answer was too long, wouldn't you be pissed if the virus came back after a half hours worth or work and now you are back where you started.
And yes I just made this answer a whole lot longer than what I wanted to originally, but it gets the point across.

a brilliant number of the time, that's human beings slicing and pasting others' artwork, which i think of is a low-fee reaction. yet from time to time, that is because of the fact human beings elect to grant a considerate answer, finished with examples and motives. possibly those solutions could get greater interest than the snide sniping that's primary on right here.

Not all questions can be answered with a simple answer. Those long answers might be very helpful to someone. Is it such a big deal to scroll past it or go to another question?

No I don't find it annoying in fact I think it should be nessicary. I hate getting these short @ss answers to my questions so I make sure to make mine nice and long for others.

Sometimes they're rambling on about little scientific details or something or etymologies of the words in the question and that is just plain dumb. But if it's actually useful I don't mind it as much.

No, doesn't bother me at all if they are actually answering the question. Even a decent "cut and paste" is acceptable. The people who cut and paste the exact same answer to every question on that subject can get annoying.
