I suggest you go to a Magic forum and check out the decks there. Once you find one you think is interesting type in the name on eBay. People actually make tournament decks just to sell them on eBay. *lol*

Here's a good Magic forum-http://forums.mtgsalvation.com
Go to the Standard(Type 2) Competitive section. You won't find a deck in any other format for $100.

I haven't played that game in years, but from what I remember, you should probably just buy a starter deck. These decks will come in different colors (like green/red, or white/blue) and are playable right out of the box. Each different color will require a different play style, so if you don't know much about the game, you are probably best off just buying your favorite color and learning as you go. Once started, you can invest in some expansion decks which come with a random set of cards that you can incorporate into whatever cards you already have to customize your deck.

Its really gonna depend on your friends playing style..i know when i played i used a Flying type deck and i won quite a few games...but that was my style of play...find out if there offensive or a defensive way and go from there...there are many decks avaliable and there all gonna be less than a $100...but buying a deck you wont have a perfect deck...buying booster packs and trading with friends will be an option they will have to look at
