After they released high def graphics on the market and the nintendo wii controller on the shelves, wut else is there to come out with? gears of war was breathtaking to play and the halo 3 game im sure will blow gears of war straight to hell. What else could they release for graphics? after high definition, is there anything better? the only other thing would be the helmets they have in gameworks that put you right in the games but i doubt those would be for sale without going over the $1,000 budget that some of us have. Me and some of my dorm buddies were playing gears of war earlier and were trying to think of how the graphics would be better.

While graphics in games are becoming quite realistic (look at screenshots for the next Gran Turismo game on PS3), they're still not quite there yet, there's always room for improvement. Textures can become higher resolution, draw distances can be made longer, extra graphical features such as HDR Bloom and film grain (like what they used in DoD Source) can be better implemented, etc...

Perhaps developers will try VR again, or find some way to revolutionize the gameplay as Nintendo and Sony did with their newer systems and controllers. Or maybe they'll return to the basic gameplay that a lot of people crave.
