So- we just moved into this house- which is pretty old- the smaller room we gave to our 2 yr. old- cause it already was painted w/ stars and moons... anyway, there arent the normal grooves in the corner where the hinges would go. Does anyone know of anything I can get at target or Home depot or something? I'm mostly looking for something that will be a little soundproof- since its a small house- and he is right nex tto the kitchen and living room... THANKS!

I cut in My own grooves with a wood chisel. You just take the wood down about 1/16 of an inch at a time, until You reach the depth of Your hinges.

If money's tight, you can always get a real thick rug or blanket to hang in the doorway, it'll keep most sound to a dull roar and keep the room warm. If money's not too much of a problem, you can always get a small custom made door at most home repair stores.

measure the frame from top to bottom for the door needed. you may have to trim the door and cut the hinge insets.
