this rather is a controversy of engines and selection on the same time as the sidestep has had a minor historic previous of climate administration and transaxel failure the pontiac could have a v6 to be properly worth something in any respect [the quad 4 and that is unmarried cam sister are the two unwell-conceived trash hundreds that blow head gaskets and devour timing chains, water pumps, and skill guidance belts and are to be prevented in any respect costs. the sidestep with the three.0 push rod v6 has sufficient skill and did not [while abused] injury the transaxel the three.5 ohc engine is powerful sufficient yet while the vehicle you're identifying to purchase became into youthful person pushed it became into in all likelihood abused and additionally could be prevented the two are extremely relaxing to force with the sidestep being the only of selection for long journeys and the pontiac probably much less complicated

this really is a matter of engines and preference while the dodge has had a minor history of climate control and transaxel failure the pontiac must have a v6 to be worth anything at all [the quad 4 and it's single cam sister are both ill-conceived trash heaps that blow head gaskets and eat timing chains, water pumps, and power steering belts and are to be avoided at all costs.
the dodge with the 3.0 push rod v6 has adequate power and did not [when abused] break the transaxel the 3.5 ohc engine is solid enough but if the car you are purchasing was young adult driven it was probably abused and also should be avoided both are fairly fun to drive with the dodge being the one of choice for long trips and the pontiac potentially less troublesome

i own a repair shop, and the grand -am,,will probably turn out to be the most dependable one out of the bunch,,they have a good reputation of holding up,,but so does the intrepid also,,both these aren't bad cars to own,,id drive both of them, and see which one drove the Best, and run the best, this might help make it easier to decide between the two of them, also the lower mileage on the grand -am does sound a lot better, but like i said ,drive them, and see which one you really think is going to be the better of the two,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Consumer Report doesn't have much good to say about the Intrepid. Expensive to repair and Insure.

Best choice would be the Ponticracker
