The Intrepid has 152,000 miles on it, the Grand Am has 125,000 miles on it. The price is about the same. Based on overall reliability and maintenance costs and known manufacturers defects, which car would be the better buy?

the dodge intrepid has a lot of problems with the fuel injection it is a constant battle to keep them running I would choose the pontiac

i own a repair shop,and the grand -am,,will probably turn out to be the most dependable one out of the bunch,,they have a good reputation of holding up,,but so does the intrepid also,,both these aren't bad cars to own,,id drive both of them,and see which one drove the Best,and run the best,this might help make it easier to decide between the two of them,also the lower mileage on the grand -am does sound a lot better,but like i said ,drive them,and see which one you really think is going to be the better of the two,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Consumer Report doesn't have much good to say about the Intrepid. Expensive to repair and Insure.
Best choice would be the Ponticracker
