At my schools it was 4 for an A, 3 for a B, 2 for a C, 1 for a D and a F was 0. So a 3.6 would be a B. Anything over a 4 was considered honors. This was possible with extra classes. So, if you took sports since this was considered an extra class, but was not averaged as part of the core classes. So if there were 6 core classes in a school day and a person got A, A, A, A, A, A then took a sport and got an A, their GPA would be 4.66. If they took a couple of sports it would be 5.33.

As everyone else said, 3.6 is generally considered an A-.
Are you in college or high school though? Many colleges don't have minus grades, so this could just be an A depending on your school. I teach at a college that doesn't have minus grades. A 3.6 GPA would be an A average at my school and you would be invited to join the honors clubs (such as Phi Beta Kappa) and you would graduate with honors.

It's technically a 91%. Search GPA calculator in your web browser and it will show you. Letter grade wise, it's an A-. Good luck. 😄

If an A+ is a 4.0, then a 3.6 is an A-
If an A+ is a 4.33, then a 3.6 is a B+
(Note, some schools that say they are on a 4.0 scale, really mean A=4.0, A+=4.33)

A 3.6 would be like an A- for most schools.

Many schools work off of different systems.
At my school, for instance, that would be a B+.
On the average, most schools would place that between an A- and B+. Keep in mind that, if your school does not award A+ marks, usually a 3.666 is the computed borderline between an A- and B+.

Where I went, it was a bit less than an A-. Technically it probably only counted as a B+.
