Lady Bug is the name of that kind.
A better question yet would be: "Why are these male bugs called Lady Bugs?"

There were Men bugs at one time, but they were too aggressive to get along with even each other, and the rest grew pot-bellies and couldn't fly anymore...the species quickly died out.
