Depends on what state you're in, most States the doctor MUST maintain privacy even though you are underage. It's called HIPPA and it's very serious if a doctor violates it.
My advice is to ask your doctor and be completely honest.

Yes, that's a doctor patient rule. The doctor is restricted to keep things from your family unless you want them to know or unless it's fatal.
When you walk into his/her room, he'll ask you if you're a virgin or not and you can answer. There is no way to tell by a pap smear that you're not a virgin because many woman break their hymen by doing other things than just sex and some women were born without hymens.

because your are under 18, if you go to the doctor, you should ask him what the laws are. Some states do not protect minors privacy from their parents.
With most states, all you will need to do is tell your doctor that you want all results of your exam kept private.
You should also know that unless you tell your doctor that you are sexually active, he might not be able to tell. You can tear or break your hymen doing everyday activities. Most doctor entrance papers do require you to fill out your sexual activity (y or n) and any things that the doctor might need to worry about.
When in doubt ask him/her first.

First, your doctor shouldn't say anything that is not life threatening to your parents without your approval. They can only do that if it is life threatening and you are endangering yourself. But yes, he will be able to tell that you are not a virgin. Oh, they can see traces of semen for up to around a week.....so don't have sex for at least a week before you go unless you want them to know about it. I didn't learn that until after I had my daughter, and I had sex all the time before visits......couldn't look at him straight after and had to change for pure embarrassment.

A dr cannot say anything to ur parents about you not being a virgin. You should tell the dr that u are sexually active so that u can be tested to be sure u have no STD's, but the dr cannot disclose that to ur parents.

i would go to your local womens health center if you want to keep this a secret, as you are considered a minor and your parents have the right to your medical records from the doctor, at the womens clinic they will not release you info to anyone.

Pap smears are generally only given to women once they've become sexually active. If your parents know you're having one, they might guess anyway.

Go, tell your doctor everything he/she should know. Nothing will get back to your parents or show up on any bills or insurance paperwork.

Thanks to HIPPA laws, yes, your secret is safe. Ask for a copy of their privacy statement when you go---you can read their policy yourself.
Besides, your gyn. can't necessarily tell that you've had sex. Your hymen can be broken for any number of reasons. So, unless you TELL your gyn you've had sex (and you should) they won't know.
