DennyP's message board is a website dedicated to the Hedo resorts. Check it out to see what both have to offer.

I love Jamaica!
It really depends on what you want out of this vacation. You need to look at what each resort has to offer and what is important to you.
For example...Which offers more restaurants? How far do you want to venture out from the airport? Which is more accommodating for your preferred activities???
If you want to drop me an email and I can help you with this. I would also be glad to look over the resorts for you. (I assume you are booking this thru yourself or a travel agent?) I am not looking for a sale here:) Just trying to be helpful!
Hedonism as a whole has a great reputation...

We were at Hedo 3 for the body art celebration in 2004, and I would go back in a heartbeat. The food was amazing, the drinks were great. It really is anything goes. They have lots of fun activities. I really liked the snorkeling at Hedo 3 as well, they take you out to alot of really great places and they go out 4 times per day. There is even great snorkeling just off of the nude beach, but don't forget sunscreen on the backside if you do that. My husband forgot and he was quite pink on the backside!

There are people there that are considered "Lifestylers" and they will respect you if you say "hey, sorry that's not for me".

They also had competitions where you can earn chips and cash them in for Jamaican Rum. You need to make reservations at the Japanese and Italian restaurants, so make sure to make them as soon as you get there. The rooms that are on the quad, and the ones that face the nude beach can be kind of loud, but there are rooms that are quieter at night if you like.

Best of luck to you, enjoy, and try the carrots and cho cho, it was my favorite Jamaican dish.

Well first it depends on you.
Me I prefer Hedo II. But I am a bit of a Party Animal and there tends to be a livelier Party crowd at 2 then 3.
How ever there are times when 3 is livelier then 2.
But other things to consider as well.
1. Negril has great sunset.
2. there is a lot to do right in and near Negril. (Ocho Rios has some fun things as well.) But in my opinion Negril has more.

Also I will he at Hedo II Dec 30Th- Jan 6Th
