Check out Dazed and Confused. It's the perfect 70's counterpart to Fast Times...The quality isn't there but, Detroit Rock City was pretty good, although it was 70's as well. Other than that the John Hughes movies are pretty good, especially Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles.

"The Breakfast Club" is #1! there's "Sixteen Candles" and "Pretty in Pink". "Porky's" has like a million sequels and you may like "Valley Girl". There's the one with the guy holding the radio in the air playing a song for a girl whose father told her to give him a pen and dump him, "Say" something or another. Oh can't forget the CLASSIC "Weird Science"! "ST. Elmo's Fire" and "Less Than Zero." Oh and Ferris Bueller's Day Off" and "Risky Business"

Say Anything with John Cusack is one of my favorite movies from the 80's. Also try Mischief with Kelly Preston. Fresh Horses with Molly Ringwald is also pretty good, it isn't the best but is worth renting in my opinion. Lucas and Stand by Me, both with "The Cories" are also great.
