i know that venom and carnage are powerful, but i don't know who is stronger. who thinks that venom is stronger?

Originally Carnage was the stronger of the two physically... probably being able to lift about 15 tons where as Venom could average only about 11 tons (both on par with Spider-man).
Recently however the Venom symbiont has bonded with Mac Gargan (formerly the Scorpion) and has become even stronger since Gargan was formerly able to lift 15 tons and now has even further enhanced strength.
Also recently Carnage was apparently killed when the Sentry flew him into space and tore him in half. That would mean he has no strength since he is now dead...

Physically more powerful or perceived more powerful? I believe Venom to be more physically powerful of the two due to Eddie Brock's supreme conditioning and body building activities. Carnage's host, Cletus Cassidy, is a sociopath, and thus, without feeling or remorse for his actions, and much more a brutal force of nature.
Where do the other symbiotes, including Toxin, fit into the mix, though? Obviously each off-shoot of the original character, Venom, brought something unique and powerful to the playing field.

I'd say Carnage due to the fact that it took both Spiderman and Venom working together to defeat Carnage.
P.S. I've read the comics and watch the series from the time I was a young child.

Venom is da original symbiote while Carnage is da off-spring whom as a more appetite for carnage and mahem, my guess Venom is stronger on by a lil he has more of a control over his symbiote while Cassidy lets his feed off his hatred so to make it simple Venom only by a lil.

thats a good q im favorable to carnage b/c he was a no frills guy...he wanted something he tokk it, venom however seemed to be more humanic the older he got. Altho to contridict myself I am a huge venom fan tho...spiderman 3 baby spiderman 3

Carnage duh.....Venom couldn't take him down alone it took spidermans help to do so....SO yeah Carnage is so more powerful...plus he is more animal like and therefore more awesome.

Carnage, there's a raw thoughtless brutality there that's not in Venom.
