I don't have advice on what to say, but the most important thing is to be yourself, be confident, be polite, and be sincere. Simply greet people and let conversation happen naturally. Read up on the latest news and events just in case...for small talk. Good luck.

if you aren't familiar with the faces and names in philadelphia's who' who register, at least familiarize yourself with the building layout so you know where to go or direct others to. also familiarize yourself with the faces and names of the partners (especially sr. partners and their spouses). a simple " good evening ", is a good starting point , knowing if there is a coat room, w/w.o attendant, and where it is. if you help with coats help the lady first. take care how you handle their property, be neat and orderly ask ahead if there will be coat claim tickets and how they're used. be certain you know where the ladies and gents are located. you may be there as they leave. help them as you can, and be subdued if you are given a tip. watch out for the tipsy. don't try lifting or carrying anyone to a cab ,car or limousine. leave that to the cabbie' or chauffeur. simply put:serve with minimal comment, be attentive, alert, courteous, polite, stand tall, erect , with a basically quiet demeanor. smile and relax. don't over do it. keep things level and organized in your mind. enjoy and good luck ask who to notify if there is trouble, in advance

Dress appropriately..perhaps just a little better than those people attending. It is better to overdress than underdress, Shake peoples hands, greet them with "Good evening", "Happy Holidays" "welcome", etc. Tell them where the bar and
hors' dourves are located, where they can hang their coat, what time dinner will be served and where the bathroom is. If they are assigned tables, direct them to the area to get that information. Smile, maintain eye contact and have fun! Remember, it is the holdays and they are there to have a good time, too.
