I think they will get on with repairing their own country. The reason Iraq is mad at us now is because of what we started. If we leave, it will give them some chance to ask another county for help. They may hate America, but I don't see them attacking us anytime soon.

If the Iraqi's are successful in maintaining their government structure and find a way to keep the radicals at bay, then there is a chance that they will be an ally and friend in the Middle East. If the radical Islamists take over, then it will become another Islamic state and foe to the U.S. and the free world. Political pressure can force the U.S. to pull out prematurely before the government is ready to sustain itself. There is a growing sentiment that the U.S. should never have gotten involved in Iraq and that we should get out as quickly. We are sustaining losses on an almost daily basis and some have no stomach for the realities of war. If we don't wait until the government is able to maintain some sort of order, then all the lost lives will be wasted and we will have lost clout in the world. One reason we have had some of the problems with some of these radicals is because of previous administrations failure to go after them. They have instead opted to turn the other cheek and use rhetoric rather than action. We have seen the result since 9/11. Some don't seem to understand that this will be a conflict which will go on for many years. It is a war of ideology.

The Iraqis will be conquered by the Iranians, and millions will die. Simple, blatant, and previously expressed by the new Mahdi.

We will run out of oil, Western economies will collapse, and we will become fully socialist while dreaming of the old days and looking at the pristine beauty of ANWAR.
