Any home remedies? It is a little infected and red. I cleaned it out with warm water, but any other ideas to clean it out all the way?

A little peroxide instilled in the ear. You can also buy ear mite medication OTC for about three dollars. Even if it is not mites the medicine may help to relieve the redness. You could also try a bit of OTC antibiotic cream and then rub it around in the ear.

If it's actually infected, you will need veterinary care. Black discharge or bad smell from the ears means an infection that must be treated or you risk the dog's hearing. If they're red because they're irritated but not really infected, you can use 1T of vinegar in a quart of room-temperature water. Use a cotton ball dipped in this solution. You can also use witch hazel if the ears are really nasty. Dogs with floppy ears (labs, poodles, beagles, etc.) should have them checked and if necessary, cleaned at least weekly to prevent infections.

you can buy a ear mite cleaner for 3 4 dollars at the pet shop but my vet recommend my dog this

1 part water
1 part vinegar white
1 part peroxide

mix it together an pour it in the dogs ear
do it twice a day

you can make a bottle an leave it out for a day or two so u are not always mixing
never put anything in your dogs ears like q tips you might want to with a paper towel an wipe out some wax or stuff that comes out an let your dog shake it out

Use Q tips twice in each ear. Then again with rubbing alcohol on the Q tips. Then again without alcohol on Q tips. He might flinch but don't worry, he'll live.
