I am 19 years old. I have worked at Borders, Red Robin, and currently I'm employed by Barnes and Noble part time. I go to school full time, and will also next semester, but next semester I will only be going Tuesdays and Thursdays. I do not want to quit my current job. I want a second one because I'm not getting enough hours.

Where should I apply to work at? I wont be applying until after Christmas in mid-Jan. I'm good with people and would rather interact with others than do some boring job, or one that includes menial labor. I also want to work after Christmas is over and not just end up jobless afterward, though it's probably too late to apply for Christmas help anyway.

I do not want to work with clothes or in a resturaunt.

Hello,

Many of my college students opt for internships in their chosen field. This might be a good strategy for you as well. If you have an idea of your ideal post-graduation job, you might look for internship opportunties (many companies do pay for interns) in your target companies. Definitely a win-win!

Good luck!

Great start - you know what you enjoy: people. That is fantastic for clerking positions.
Next - what are you effective at? Where do you excell at work?
Finally - where to do others encourage you when you work? At bussing tables or restocking books?
Enjoy - effective - encourage. You might want to consider a visit to a business in your academic field. Talk to them about a type of residency a few hours a day/week to learn about the field.
