ummm, i think you should call your doc. and stop having unprotected sex till you see him/her, sounds like it may have fallen out which is weird but yeah.

You WILL get your period on the IUD. If you don't get your period, then call your doctor. Depending on which IUD you have, it will be wire or plastic and small like a fish hook with some string dangling off the end. If it falls out, call your doctor and use protection during sex till your visit.

I have the Paraguard IUD, and sometimes rough sex can make you spot a little blood. My periods were very heavy after getting my IUD, which was not how they were before the IUD. My doctor said sometimes that happens.

You were told how to check to "feel" for your IUD hopefully by your doctor. If you don't get your period, then I would be worried, but otherwise it is probably your body getting used to the IUD. Hope this helps.

The I.U.D. isn't a 100% guarantee birth control. I have a friend that gave birth with the I.U.D. in the baby's hand. I had the IUD for 4 years and I had intermittent bleeding all of the time. I also felt it made my regular periods heavier. The I.U.D. does NOT protect against any ssd's, you would still need a condom. I think break through bleeding is one of the largest problems there is with the I.U.D. Good luck

Chances of getting pregnant while on the IUD are 0.1% had you had your tubes tied you would have a chance of 0.5%. I would have revised the mass to make sure it wasn't the IUD had it been the IUD or a miscarriage you would have had HORRIFIC cramps (trust me) before you even passed the mass so it might have just been you shedding the lining of your uterus (which is what clots and the bleeding is when you get your period) I would still go to the DR since you are worried

I have the Mirena IUD, which has a type of progesterone in it. There are copper IUDs which act strictly in a physical sense. I have periods with the IUD, but they are "birth control periods." I say that because without any type of birth control, my periods appear one way, and with b/c they appear a different, lighter way. Sometimes I do get clots with my periods, so maybe that is what you had. It can't hurt to call your doctor just to be safe. He or she may want to check that your IUD is in postion as well. IUDs are pretty effective when used correctly, but no method is 100%. Good luck.

IUD can still allow you to get pregnant. I know several people who have became pregnant while this was in. It kind of just mis-directs the sperm to kind of confuse it. There are some IUD's that have hormones in them.

You could have miscarried. Maybe a trip to the GYN would be a good idea. I would use a 2nd form of birth control to prevent this. If you do get pregnant it could cause miscarriages or it could cause you to have a child with serious problems or deformities.

It's entirely possible that you became pregnant and miscarried. Unless it's the device containing hormones, IUDs do not prevent conception; they prevent implantation into the uterus. Also, you'll have a thicker than usual uterine membrane for the first few months while your body gets used to the intrusion of the device.

If you miscarried you would have had pain cramping & quit a bit of bleeding w/ clots that are silver/grey (fetal tissue) if you think you did miscarry, you need to see your doctor. If you did not pass all fetal tissue you could end up very sick & even become infertal if it does not pass. If that is the caser your doctor will hasve you go for a dnc.
