In general, which is worse: being emotionally abused by your father, or being emotionally abused by your mother? I know it sometimes depends on the same sex parent, but as a child I was emotionally abused by my father. I was just curious, this is a poll for my psychology class. Thank you very much and Merry Christmas!

The term emotionally abused, somehow I think we have all been threw this in one form or another. Sometimes, now don't take this wrong, but some people use this term so freely that it makes me think that the person using it is in someway emotionally unstable. This is a very touchy subject because there are many people that cross the line. Having said that I think that in today's society we all need to have a better understanding of the emotional feelings of certain individuals. That when we say things to our family or friends, we think more about what we are about to say to that person as the individual so that we do not hurt them psychologically. Good luck with that answer.

I would say opposite sex relationships (so it's worse for a boy to be emotionally abused by her mother, vice versa for girl), because that's the first bit of "love" you learn. A girl learns what "love" is from her father. If her father always beats up her mother, subconsciously the girl will believe this is "love", and as much as they hate it, end up with a guy who beats up her just like her father did to her mother.

Being emotionally abused by anyone cannot be better than another individual.

There IS, however, the possibility that emotional abuse by a father (to a girl) may taint future relationships with men.

I would have to say they are equally horrible. Each parent serves as a role model for specific behaviors that the children will become accustomed to for that particular group, male and female. There are roles that each one plays that can not be fulfilled by the other, simply because they are of a different sex. To have your children grow up believing either is "acceptable" or "normal" is wrong.

I am not sure that it makes a great difference. Children look to their parents for support and protection from the world. Long term abuse by one parent implies the consent of the other and a betrayal of trust which in itself is abuse.

i comprehend i go hostile to the Dragon in this one, and that places me at an instantaneous draw back, yet i in my opinion truly like Michael Cole. i imagine that a lot of human beings immediately dislike him because he replaced Jim Ross on raw. I thoroughly agree that that replaced right into a adverse decision with techniques from Vince, yet this is why human beings favor to save in ideas. That it replaced into Vince's decision, not JR's and by no skill Michael Cole's. i do not imagine that Cole and The King have large chemistry mutually, yet even as he replaced into teamed with JBL or Tazz he replaced into astonishing. different perfect statement that i have ever heard got here from Michael Cole even as side cashed in money interior the business employer decrease back in 2007 hostile to the Undertaker. save in ideas, accurate after Undertaker tied with Batista in that metal cage journey? Cole did this kind of excellent pastime of putting emotion into the journey that it made it a classic second and really set side up even more advantageous then he already replaced into as a significant heel. The statement is a huge component to any WWE journey. large statement can turn a lengthy and dull journey right into a classic. i truly imagine that Cole has that potential. as a lot as I loved Christian's go back, i did not imagine that the statement replaced into good. this is to undesirable, because mostly Todd Grischam is truly good and that i love him, yet when Jim Ross or Michael Cole were saying that, it ought to have made the prompt a lot cooler. do not get me incorrect, i could not stop smiling both way, although the statement truly did make a huge difference in a adverse way. i imagine that interior the lengthy run, Striker and Grisham favor to be chop up up. For the most section Grischam is sweet, yet Striker is only soooo extreme. He receives stressful.

Since you are female I will say Mother is worst.

Women know that a father is the only male that will ever love them unconditionally, so even if he is the worst sob of all time, women still tend to hold on to the fantasy.
