I have been told time and time again that im beautiful by my friends and called pretty by guys but i still find myself to be hideously ugly. Is this just how human girls function or something lol? :)

That's how everyone functions. Even supermodels felt ugly at one time or another. That doesn't go away. Everytime a girl has a bad hair day, or she breaks out, or make-up just aint' right, she may feel ugly. Even the girls who appear confident and know they're beutiful in appearance, feel ugly inside. I'm pretty sure of this because they almost always end up with a bad boy who always promises to change but never does, and they decide to get pregnant; her for love, him for control...and the cycle of abuse never ends, because they use the child against each other; and hope still remains alive because they'll both promise the other they'll change and try to make their family better. But this only buys them some more time to be oblivious to what's happening; but still cling onto each other; and hey, they're void of all responsibility, y, because they say it's for the good of the baby. B.S.!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Don't look at what's staring at you in the mirror. Look at what's inside of you. If you're a beautiful person on the inside, it'll show on the outside, regardless of how you THINK you look.

Women seem to be overly critical about their looks. Is that caused by our society, or by American advertising?? I don't think men are so concerned about their own looks. Speaking as a man, I find most women very attractive. Their features, their eyes, the turn of their ankles... all are very appealing to me.

I get your drift but sometimes you just have to except life? lol beauty is in the eye of the beholder so if you can't find yourself beautiful, try looking at you in another way.

I heard it many times that when a woman looks in the mirror she sees herself as overweight and unattractive. But when the guys look in the mirror,they see themselves as Mr. America. I guess life has it's little quirks.

We , all of us are ugly , but only should judge ourselves....Most girls go way overboard when it comes to judging themselves on their looks....when others tell you that you are beautiful believe them , that is what they see in you ....ignore your idea of yourself ( you are seeing a distorted image caused by the reflection of light ! )
