My first child took a long time, almost a year. My second child took about 6 months. And now at 36 years old, I got pregnant on the first try. I'm sorry I am not much help...but I did read a book on how to get pregnant and found out that with my first two children, we did everything all wrong...I followed directions to a tee and got prego right away. I borrowed the book and cant remember the name of it....but you can look in your local book store and ask for conception books and see if that helps.
This is what I did....I am a 28 day cylce and started counting on my first day of my period...I counted 12 days and started having sex then until day 14. So we had sex once a day for 3 days and I found out 5 weeks later that it worked. Every womans cycle is different, but in the book it had a schedule for 20, 24, 28, 30 day cycles.
Good luck! And I hope it helps.

*LOL* Six years of faithful trying. One month of "I give up totally because I will never get pregnant, and the next month OMG I am pregnant. Now I am eight weeks. People vary and I did not have a fertility aide. Once I said I'm never getting pregnant and then started having fun again it was sudden. It's hard to explain when you've been trying for so long and then all of a sudden when you give up see a positive test. I took two more before going to the doctor the next day just to make sure I wasn't seeing things. My husband went with me because we both thought we were seeing things. The doctor confirmed it making it my fourth positive before I could actually believe I was pregnant.

After I stopped taking the pill, 8 months. My nurse said any time within a year is considered normal, and that I did not have trouble concieving. However, every month I got my period after we decided to try, i felt like I may never have children and could die a borken heart. I also had a great friend who tried for 6 months, and went to a specialist who told them their first child was a miracle and they would need treatment to get the second. In the 3 months they were making up their minds, they got pregnant. Keep trying, and the more you can just relax about it the better your chances!

We've gotten pregnant 3 times and every time was the first cycle we 'tried'. I have read that if a hundred couples(in their 20's) 'try' for one year, more than 80 of them are pregnant by 6 months. The rule of thumb now is once you're in your 30's and you haven't gotten pregnant by 3 months, you should see a doctor to rule out certain complications.
Best of luck to you!

I tried 1 yr before seeing a fertility specialist and being told I wouldn't be able to get pregnant. (my ex)
Then about 2 yrs later I married my husband and the next month I ended up pregnant without trying.
Trying can strain things, you think about it to hard and you gt crushed very month.

Hi! It took me three months..I started trying in October and I got pregnant in January (January 5 to be exact) so don't give up...they say it's when you stop trying that it happens and that's the way it went for me. Have fun and enjoy sex...and you will eventually get pregnant. Good luck!

I read today that 90% of seemingly healthy women in their 20s get pregnant within 1 year. Be patient my dear!
Good luck!

With my first son it took us over 2 years to conceive without the help of anything. With this one it took no time but that was with Ovulex to help regulate my period.
