My kids grandparents are comming in on Dec. 27 & 28. We are looking for something fun to do with the kids. I live closer to Champaign, but I'm pretty new to the area, if there is anything in Champaign thats ok too. It will be cold outside so it needs to be something indoors. Also if anybody knows of a nice hotel w/ an indoor pool in Bloomington or Champaign please let me know. Thanks

I am a Native of Bloomington, and there doesn't seem to be a whole lot to do indoors main thing that comes to mind is the childrens discovery museum: http://www.childrensdiscoverymuseum.net/

If you are into historical sites, The David Davis Mansion and the McLean County Courthouse Museum are Good Places to Visit. The Funk Prarie Home and Rock Museum (located just outside of Bloomington)are really cool for adults as well as children and I highly reccomend it. New Salem village in Petersburg is also an interesting place to visit, as it has to do with Abraham Lincoln and his life before the presidency.

There is the Miller Park Zoo. It has some indoor Exhibits as well as outdoor. For future refrence durring nicer weather there is the Wildlife Prarie Park near Peoria.

I have been to all of these places(except for the childrens discovery museum) as a child and as an adult. I really enjoyed visiting these historic and educational sites as a child and an adult and am glad to share them with you. Below is some information for Each Place:
