I'm not really sick of it. I'm more indifferent to it.

I find it annoying and disheartening when I see all the hype and commercialization associated with Christmas, especially when it starts up in October. It seems like the holiday is just an excuse for conspicuous consumption and mass overindulgence in every way. More family fights occur at this time of year; there is more stress, more unhappiness and more pressure to perform in a way that is sanctioned by society and yet bears no real resemblance to a remembrance of the birth of Christ. If it were up to me, I'd just keep the lights (they're nice and don't scream at you or make you fight for overhyped electronics that'll just be remaindered later on...), and I'd bake a cake and decorate it with "Happy Birthday Jesus." After all, that is what Christmas commemorates, isn't it?

Today is only the 9th!! You need a change of heart, my friend. Find some other things to do that mean more to you than shopping, don't go where the crowds are. Be creative. Start a new tradition ~ have some friends over - I hope it gets better for you!! Merry Christmas to you!

Bah, humbug!!
Not me. I love Christmas! It comes just one time in the whole year!
The only not so pleasant parts about it are: the crowded stores, busy streets, the sold out items I'm looking for, and the extra pounds I gain after Christmas dinner.
Just seeing all the Christmas lights on neighbors' homes disappear little by little, makes me sad. Then, seeing all those withered trees lying on the curbside waiting for pick up.... to think that they were at one time filled with ornaments and stood so tall and pretty. Talking about all this is making me depressed. Stop making me think about the year's end! I will enjoy Christmas while it's here! Fa la la la la la la la la!!!!!!!!!

For the first time in a long time, I'm not. I did all my shopping online to stay out of stores and loved every minute of it. I'm doing what I want to do, not what others expect me to do, which is like the weight has been lifted off my shoulders.
