Usually a one-month old will curl his/her toes. It is a natural reflex. :o)

My daughter moves her legs up to her body (she's 3 weeks) or sometimes she will push her legs against the ground for a second, then pull them up.

Neither of my kids could stand until they were a few months old. My son liked to curl his toes in, but grew out of it quickly. My daughter is only 6 months so we'll have to wait and see what she likes to do.

My daughter acted like the ground was hot the way she tried to crawl back up in my arms. Their legs are not yet strong enough to support them anyway.
