Missouri passed a state amendment to the state constitution banning same-sex marriage in 2004 with the text "Section A. Article 1, Constitution of Missouri, is amended by adding thereto one new section, to be known as section 33, to read as follows: Section 33. That to be valid and recognized in this state, a marriage shall exist only between a man and a woman."
If a resident of Missouri were to marry a partner in Massachusetts, the marriage would not be recognized as valid in the state of Missouri.

That makes 37 states and the District of Columbia which have legalized gay marriage. i imagine 2015 is the 12 months that it truly is going to be legalized nationwide.

No. But some parts of Missouri such as Joplin and Kansas City are Gay friendly.

no...shamefully, it was the first state to amend the state constitution to ban gay marriage after President Homophobe started his crusade to amend the federal constitution. However, in St. Louis, where I live (and I think also in KC), you can (and my partner and I have) register for domestic partnership.
