I would have not listened to what others expected of me and have done what was in my own best interest.

I have pondered this question so many times. Given the opportunity to go back and change a specific point in my life, I think it would have to be when I was 21 and moved away from home.
I didn't just move away, I moved 3,000 miles away. I never saw many of my friends again. I haven't seen many of my family members since.
Even though I regret all that, there's one person that I regret leaving behind more than any other. He was my best friend in the whole world. We could tell each other just about anything and when I left, he had nothing to stay for and left too. Over the years we drifted apart and he became enmeshed in the club scene and contracted a disease as a result of it.
His name is David. He lives in Orlando. I've tried so many times to get back in touch with him only to meet with rejection. He says that we don't have anything in common now because he's "out". What he never seemed to understand was that I didn't care if he loved men or women. It never really mattered to me, only that he was who he was. He was my best friend and I loved him no matter what. I'd give just about anything to be able to get that friendship back, including changing the course my life has taken.

I would start off as a teenager. I would have treated my own mother with more respect always.
I would have gotten some antidepressants for social anxiety and stayed in school.
I am an intelligent man and a gifted artist. I would have stayed in school and done something with my life. Although I did get my GED and then went on to a local College, I would have stayed in school and went on to become a great architect, engineer, artist, teacher, or something.
I would have never tasted alcohol or experimented with drugs .

Big changes - I would have started college during high school (an option in the state I lived in); gotten my master's right away, and taken a promotion offered me 5 years ago because my career would be a little further ahead than it is now. I never would have let my husband talk me into selling our third house at the time we did. I would have forced my sister-in-law to visit a better doctor with her first pregnancy; her baby probably would have lived. :-(
Little changes - I would have raised my children a little differently. I would have spent more time with my grandmother. I would have bought that stock when it was at $1.72.

I've made a heck of alot of mistakes in life. But I wouldn't change a thing because I'm happy with who I am today & maybe the reason is because I've made so many errors

I would have moved out of my parent's houses at 12, had parental rights transfered to my cousin, and started to transition 7 years before I finally got a chance to. If that would have failed, I would have still moved out early and started to transition a couple years earlier.

I wouldn't marry right after college graduation like I did, but would live on my own and work in my career (teaching) and probably get a master's degree or higher before finally, maybe, perhaps settling down in a marriage.
How I've raised my children is the best thing I've ever done, so I would plan to have children, or adopt them.

I would have kissed her. I would have not rolled over even though I need to toss and turn in order to fall asleep because she was cuddling me just right...
