La is spanish and it is a feminine word for "the"
Example:

Usar LA computadora or

La carpeta de argollas

la chica

There is also "el" which is the masculine version of "the"

my bro is taking a french class and enjoying it. "La" is an article like "The" or "A" or "an" in english.
"La" is feminine; mainly used for a female name or noun.
