Dont get me wrong Jordan was a great player.. but sometimes I feel like he was overrated. you ask why?.. well for many reasons..Like Tzinto mentioned above.. how many Championships has kobe won without Shaq?.. none. Same with Jordan.. would he of Won all those titles without Pippen? No.. simply because Pippen was his other shoulder.. without him and his help.. Jordan would of just been another leading scorer without any Rings. Just look at when he came to the Wizards.. everyone was Hyped about "oh Jordans back..we are gonna win a Title!".what happen? nothing at all. I would have to say that the greatest player NOW.. is Wade.. no questions asked.. he can work without Shaq.. When Wade retires i expect no less then 6 rings in his fingers. A new and improved "Michael Jordan".

This is such a broad question. Is currently in the league? Well I have to look at someone who won a championship by putting a team on his shoulders in the postseason and I'm going with dwayne wade. How many championships has Nash won? Zero. How many has Kobe won without a Shaq in his PRIME? Zero. Dwayne Wade played with an injured and fatigued Shaq who emotionally and statistically wasn't even a factor in the post season.

Now was? of all time? Thats tricky. Some say Jordan, some say Chamberlain, some say Magic and Bird. Its extremely difficult to compare different players was different eras. Times change and so does competition and players. It'd be unfair to make assesments of whose better through different eras.

There will never be anybody better then Micheal Jordon. He broke so many records, and is the standard for which all great players are judged by. Coby is great, but he will never be the legend that Micheal is.

I would have to say Jordan for his era. Larry Bird (Celtics Fav. team) for his time and Chamberlain (not sure on spelling) . I agree with the guy who said you can't compare across the times. Now, the question is can you convince my son of that we have argued this for years.
