if i looked up the word boats yesterday in a search engine,,,, then next time I put in the letter b right away the word boats drops down how do i stop previous search subjects from coming up

To change AutoComplete settings

In Internet Explorer, click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab.
Under AutoComplete, click Settings.
Select the check boxes for the AutoComplete options you want to use.
Click OK twice.

Un-check all the boxes
click Clear Forms button
click Clear Passwords button

Depends what search engine: which operating system and browser.
IE, click tools
Click Internet Options
Click Clear History
Click Delete Temporary Files
Click Offline Content
Click Delete Cookies
This is just something you should do once a week to keep your computer running faster and smoother. It will also clear everything from your browser - except for the hidden tracks.

You can disable the autocomplete feature in Internet Explorer .. go to Tools Internet Options - selec the content tab up the top and click the settings button under the autocomplete section and untick all the options. and you should be done

if you are using Internet Explorer:

Click on Tools > Internet Options
Click on the Content Tab
Click on AutoComplete button
Un-check all the boxes
click Clear Forms button
click Clear Passwords button

if you are using firefox:
Click on Tools>Clear Private Data
Check all options, and press OK

Go to tools in internet explorer and 'delete browsing history' and chose what you want to get rid of.
