If you have an emotional connection with another man - is that considered cheating - and do you think it could lead to a sexual affair?

yes i do if your with someone else physically and your sharing your emotions with someone else than your giving the other person a part of you only your significant other should know and as far as leading to something physical of course the way to a womans heart is through emotions

If you want to have a good relationship with your husband, partner... then this is not helpful.
I can't blame you for having an emotional connection with another man though. That in and of itself isn't bad. It's just that it's not helpful. Do you think you could instead invest this emotional energy in your partner/spouse?
And yes, this could easily lead to a sexual affair.

If you're married or in a committed relationship, then yes I believe it's a form of cheating. It could lead to a sexual affair as well if you're attracted to that person.
If you really love the person you're with, then end the relationship with the other man.

Yes, it is worse then an affair because the emotion is attatched. Emotions aren't like" just cheating" most people cheat with people they have no emotional attatchment. It is a seed that is planted and growing.

Yes it could lead to an affair, you are skating on thin ice and kidding yourself that you are "just friends". End or distance yourself from the attachment now or mistakes will be made.

Only if you act on it, I think.
If it's only emotional attachment then it will work like fantasy, which is normal. As long as it doesn't change how you feel or think about your partner, it should be OK.
I have that too now and then, but I don't let it cloud my judgement.

Yes...it shouldn't have gotten to any emotional stage or anything other than a friendship, if you're with someone else. Thats just called faithfulness.

I have emotional attachments with alot of people but that does not mean I'm gonna sleep with my bartender, neighbors, etc.
