I liked both movie series, Halloween and Friday the 13th. I think they intrigued schoolboys when I was in elementary school and the movies caught my imagination. I recall I made tape recordings of Halloween and Halloween 2 from commercial television when I was a boy but I didn't see the original Friday the 13th film until I was a teenager. I saw most of the rest of those movies when I reached the age of being a grownup. If honesty is required, on the whole I think Halloween may be the more memorable film chiefly on account of its unusual film technique of showing the point of view of the monster (particularly in the opening when the young boy murders his sister). They are frightening movies!

Halloween I and II have been unbelievable movies, and that i actually like the sound music on the 1st Halloween. I in no way enjoyed the Friday the thirteenth movies, you will possibly have necessary an A-bomb to kill Jason.

Friday the 13th all the way, Halloween was a good storyline but you couldn't relate as much to Michael Myers as you could good old Jason Voorhees. Both series had their downfalls though, I mean Halloween III: Season of the Witch wasn't even about Michael Myers.. and Jason in Space?? omg...

The first 'Halloween' was the best of ALL the movies from either series. I really love Halloween 2 and (don't be hatin') even Halloween III: Season Of The Witch! ;-)
The first F13 was really good. The second one better or as good. The 3rd one, viewed in 3-d, was AWESOME (not in 3d is still one of the best of the series).
Overall, out of the 2, the F13s had the best 'series' of movies, IMHO :-)

Sounds like fun! I have to say, out of those two, Friday the 13th, but Nightmare On Elm Street is better than both.

Overall: Friday the 13th. But I really enjoy the first Halloween, it's so good. If the rest were better, I'd prefer it, I think.
