As long as you feel fine, ie no cramping or bleeding, your baby should be fine. Even if you went to the doctor they may not be able to do much for you because they may not be able to detect a fetal heartbeat at 8 weeks gestation. If it will ease your mind at all, go ahead and call the doctor or a nurse line. Good luck to you.

When i was 23 weeks i fell down the stairs on my stomach no thanks to my lovely dog! my fiance's mom came over and called 911 because i had some really bad cramping. They paramedics were much more worried about the tenderness of my neck witch i didn't realize until after he pushed. i was rushed to the ER. thankfully my neck was okay pulled muscles but fine, the did an ultrasound and baby seemed fine but they monitored me for about 9 hours because i was having some contractions, however my cervix was not changing in anyway and baby's heart rate was great, the contractions stopped on their own and i was released. I Think lucky they are pretty protected in there, so i wouldn't worry to much, but if you do get start to get pain i would definitely go in. The hospital told me that in the case of falling down the stairs the first 6 hours are critical, if their is no pain, spotting, or anything then your in the safe zone! so good luck and i'm sure everything is fine! congrats on baby!!!

From what I have read, the earlier in your pregnancy, the less a fall would harm it at all. Your baby is very protected in their little world, and there isnt a placenta yet to be worried about detaching.

If you feel cramping, bleeding or anything out of the ordinary at all, I would call a 24/7 nurse line and ask them. And if you are really worried, you arent going to be happy until you get checked out. Its up to you, but I wouldnt be too worried unless your body is telling you something.

I wouldn't run to the hospital unless you experience cramping and/or bleeding. The hospital probably won't do much for you. If you are worried, you can try calling your OB and asking for a quick ultrasound to make sure there's still a heartbeat.

the same thing happened in the beggining of my first pregnacy i cleaned houses and we had to take off our shoes i was going down their stairs and fell about the same distance i wasn't bleeding and felt o.k so i didn't worry about going to the hospital but if you start bleeding or feel different then you usually do then i would get looked at just try to be careful i quit working after that happened it scared the crap out of me good luck

I would go if you are experiencing severe pain or are bleeding badly. At 8 weeks you are not far enough along to have hurt the baby without doing a lot of damage to your body. You can call your doctor and ask them if they want to see you.

Go to the hospital and get checked out. Make sure you and your baby are fine. You might have hit you head
or have cause problems with your pregnancy. Better
safe than sorry. Have some one drive you.

If you feel any kind of severe cramping (doubling you over screaming) or start bleeding, then go to the hospital. Otherwise, don't worry about it. Stressing over it will also hurt your baby.

Just go to the Hospital to make sure everything is fine. A checkup cant hurt.

I did the same thing and broke my tail bone and if there are not obvious things wrong with you like cramping bleeding then I would not worry about it.
