I'm gonna go with Motley Crue on this one. These guys were the be all end all with me at one point in my life. The spark that they put into their music held me captive for the duration...
Now, having said that, I can't deny the impact that Guns had on everyone. They were a breath of fresh air at a time when metal had gotten a little stale. They gave me reason to stick with the genre instead of walking away from all the cookie cutter bands that had hit the scene at that time.

Guns N Roses for sure. Yeah Motley Crue had their share of great songs, but every Guns N Roses song was great

guns n roses had some hits but i gotta say motely crue beat them in every way
better live shows
more hit singles
umm..lasted longer?
they especially had more albums
and axl rose is an ******
he needs to get over himself and those braids
