I totally agree. I'm a Bengals fan too. The Bus was by far their leader and their best player that is Def. one reason that they have been bad this year. And I also think that Big Ben is over rated.
GO BENGALS. NO ONE CAN STOP CHAD OR CARSON'

No, the guy didn't get that many touches anyway. Pitt got by last year on nothing but luck. It's pretty much the same team without one insignificant player this year. Bettis had been washed up years ago and maybe the only difference he made last year was that when it was third and short they used "The Short Bus" til' the wheels fell off.

heres the the thing the reason they were so good is everybody knew there place willie was the yards guy and bettis was the goline guy with out bettis it makes it hard because you cant put parker in a goline position as much because of his size so yes bettis is part but most of it is because they wont pay to keep the big players or buy big players.

it's one of the contributing factors, there's also bens struggle due to the accident/appendix/concussion, the o-line really hasn't given him much protection in most of the games either, defense hasn't been performing well, Polamalu's shoulder has been hurt most of the season, and special teams need help. Add to that the fact the hines ward hasn't been 100% because of the hamstring, and you really can't expect a repeat, I'd say that all things considered they've done ok for the year, next year will be better though

Most definitely had an impact. Big Ben tried to play hurt too many games, plus they don't seem as focused after working hard to win the Super Bowl. Plus Cowher may be ready to move on and he doesn't seem to have the same intensity. It took a bunch of losses for them to regain focus-A little too late.

well think about it they lost a little of their luster when they lost von oelhoffen and randle-el. ben's struggling and santionio holmes hasnt really lived up to his 1st round pick status. plus baltimore is a better team this year, if they were at 6-5 right now, the steelers would be right there in the playoff hunt along with cincy.

Ya, any guy from Notre Dame is a team player.
But in all seriousness, the Bus is a great goal-line guy and Willie Parker does not give you that cause he's so small and skinny.

its the superbowl curse. if you win the superbowl 9 times out of 10 you will suck the next year. as they think well we are the champs so why practice real hard.
they have some key players out like wards and that poly whatever his name is spelled. also big ben off season accident sure didnt help matters.
