My brother's son is gay and has noticed his "straight" friend has started acting really weird around him. The boy, Lance has a GF but I have seen him checkin' out my nephew. Lance does not know his orientation but I think they like each other, and I have a plan of action. Anyone have ideas on how to test a 14 year old's preferences? Should I intervene?

Do nothing. Let him develop naturally and in his own time

No. No, no, no, no, no. Do not intervene. Don't do it. I'm going to say it one more time, just to be absolutely clear: NO! He's 14; even if he is interested, it is not your nor anyone else's business until he decides he wants it to be. Just leave it alone. Now, if your nephew wants to take a stab, well, that's up to him, but I hope he's prepared for what could happen if the answer is a no (or, incidentally, if it's a yes). The most, absolute most you can do with a clean conscience is talk to your nephew about the situation, but even that could be a bit much if you don't approach conservatively. This is an age where everything seems to be extremely important; get involved and you're playing with fire.

Oh yeah, one more thing. No.

No.. leave them alone. Good night first of all they might not do a thing and just being gay does not make anyone dangerouse. I Wished I knew why people think all gays are dangous. I know so many that would Give me the shirt off thier backs or the last five bucks they had if I needed it. I understand being worried about your child but I would be more worried about the grown ups near by.

How did your aunts or uncles "test" your own orientation? Don't you think that this is just a little weird?

Kids grow up. Parents support them. Good parents don't try to change them but help them along on their way.

As an aunt, you can mention your "observations" to the boy's parents, but meddling is simply wrong. It's not your job.

I recommend that you do not interfere. Doing so could actually constitute a criminal act - contribution to the delinquency of a minor. Let "sleeping dogs" lie or they may wake up to do a whole lot worse than "bite" you. If the other guy is gay or bi, let him decide - not you, or you could literally wind up getting yourself killed - do NOT interfere.

As father go to him ask him very casually if he is gay, and if he says yes commence to beating the gay out of him that should do the trick. And there for after if you see him checking guys smack him upside the head. And start doing **** with him like working on cars lifting weights go to the park or the beach and check out girls hell come around hopefully if he doesn't send him to live with his mother or wherever just so long as you dint have to see it

Repeat "are you nervous" while taking off you shirt then laugh and say you're just kidding and go take a shower.

If he gets turned on..

You can't turn gay, even though many idiots believe so. Don't do anything, besides, mind your own business.
