It really hits me wrong, when I hear people say, that America is losing the war. Can it be, that, we are all failing to look at the wohle picture ? Let' see, do you recognize that we are not fighting a military war / and that this spineless wimps try to pass themselves as Iraq citizens to kill people. They use mosques, schools, hospitals, and homes to fight in, so they will protect thier coward asses. I can go on and on, but I think you understand now

We are not losing a war, we are losing an occupation. Those who fight our occupation are doing the same thing we did to the British in our Revolutionary War, they are not fighting fair. The hide, they blend, they cheat. And every day more Americans come home dead or wounded. They are not spineless fighters, but effective ones, who stand up against the best Army in history. The reason we are losing as a police force, is that most Iraqis don't want us there, just as it was in Vietnam. You cannot win against a population that wants you out, only if the vast majority supports you. Contrary to what we are being led to believe, most of those we fight are Iraqi citizens, not people from outside the country. There are those from outside, but they are few compared to the number of Iraqis who fight us. If most were from outside, they would not be able to blend very well, without massive help from the locals. We are not being told the truth about what is going on there, and we have to find out why.

We are loosing the war simply because it is a lose lose game. We opened a can of warm and it is impossible to close it back again. The Iraqis are not spineless, they are bloodthirsty and so far have send us almost 3000 dead soldiers and at least 20000 injured. Not to forget 700000 Iraqis have died according to the recently released UN report. That country was put together by the Brits in the early 1900s, combining Shiite Arabs Muslims, Sunni Arab Muslims, and the Kurds. Kurds and Shiites did not want to be part of the then newly created country but they were forced to accept the only bitter choice they had. Now, after 100 years we are trying to make the same mistake! isn't that amazing? On top of our idiocies, we want to stabilize the country...LOL my friends that will never happen.

"u.s." does not lose if we pulled out of Iraq; the Bush administration and by using association the GOP might lose because of the fact it may well be a tacit acknowledgement that the full element became right into a bad mistake and that it became into dealt with with criminal incompetency. additionally, Halliburton and Blackwater might loose a boatload of money on the deal if we left. the wear and tear is performed. Iraq is deep right into a civil conflict and is a suited breeding floor for terrorists. If Iraq is ever going to transition into some thing similar to a very good, demogratic u . s ., they are in a position to do it purely as right away on their very own as they are in a position to with our help. we could refocus on an prolonged-lasting victory in Afghanistan in the previous it falls thoroughly back into chaos, we could rebuild our depleted protection rigidity and we could use our blood and treasure to get rid of our dependence on distant places skill, somewhat oil.

America fights their way and Iraqis fight their way.
Why would they try to fight the American way if they will lose???????
I don't think there is a manual that tells you how you MUST fight.
Unless you're a wrestler, boxer etc.
Plus Vietnamese also fought the same way - Georgie knew this could happen but he is too arrogant and stupid to hold back, get his bearings and proceed with caution.
David killed Goliath.

EXACTLY! The war is already won has been for awhile now. We went in, took out Saddam and there Military in the first 2 years; which isnt bad at all, very good progress. So we won the war, I dont know what else you have to do to win a war besides destroy their military and take their leader.
Now its just an occupation and waiting for someone in Congress to get the hint thats its about time to start wrapping it up over there. Iran has offered to help w/ the US withdrawl and said that they would take part of the US's role in Iraq. And since Iran is shia, and the new Iraq government is shia, and that the insurgents are SUNNI; all that means that Iran would have alot more motivation in holding Iraq than the US.
Kinda rambeled on there, but the point is; we won the war.

We're losing the moral high-ground b/c altruists among us see it as our duty to sacrifice to the enemy; build toilets, kneel at offending militants in projecting from mosques, calling on Iran to help...
Our mission must be protection of the homeland against threats. Iraq was such a threat. We [somewhat] put it down; could have clobbered the $hit out of them -- much more than we did. Now they still have a fighting spirit and a perception that a real win is in the cards. That's our [foreign policy] fault.

So they're winning through guerrilla tactics, you're saying?
I hope that we all win this war. I hope the Iraqis can self-govern at some point in the reasonably-near future.
I hope that we fight the good fight in Afghanistan as well where they want us there and where many roots of terrorist activity existed pre-9/11

Right now, we are not fighting a war in Iraq, we are becoming statistics of an Iraqi Civil War that Saddam quashed for years. Because we are on foreign soil, and all the people have the potential to be our enemies, they cannot be identified.
And why are you so shocked at our attitudes, when we obviously lost in Korea and Vietnam? Why don't we tuck our tails in again for a third time?

Because they want us to lose. There are millions of traitors in the US. We won the war. Saddam is gone. The Iraqi people elected a government. We have a peace problem.
We need to stop fighting a PC war and flatten terrorist ridden areas.

Don't you see that is is because we are not fighting a "military war" that we are losing? That is the very reason that we cannot "win".
