Thank you for posting this question, my children are mixed as well and when they are your age I hope they come to me with the same question. You need to sit your parents down and explain to them that you are confused and that you want to be YOU - cuz lady, YOU are who YOU are - I know you think that you may be alone in this but you are not! So many children are growing up in mixed homes right now probably wondering who they are too - You just need to tell your parents how you feel outright - I am sure that they will understand and maybe you all can work it out so that when you visit each others families they will understand that you are a combination of BOTH families not just ONE side - does that make sense? Best of luck with everything that you do - this was one of the BEST questions I've seen in a while!

OK, where to start? "all of your races." From what you said, you only have two: Black and White, unless you have some Asian in there, like Chinese. "Puerto Rican" isn't a race; it's an ethnicity as is Spanish and Indian. My son has fairer skin than most Irish, yet he is Puerto Rican.

Now, it looks to me as if you ARE expressing all your ethnicities and both your races better than most. Unfortunately, since I don't speak Spanish fluently, my son seems like he won't be a natural Spanish speaker. You do that and more. Perhaps you need to look more into your Indian background, either by asking your father or researching it yourself.

If you are saying that you don't like it when you mother's family, for instance, calls you a "Puertoriquena," then you can gently remind them that you are also Indian and Black and do the same when you are with your father's family. Old habits are hard to break for a family, though, so be ready for them not to go along with it easily.

Correct you are on the beginning of the path to your new understanding. You too have found the foolish behavior of the cultures striking each other with words to demean each other offensive. This is giving rise to a new culture and we are unnamed ones who have been mixed together over the centuries to become the generation of discovery.

Atlantis was said to house the many cultures of many generations who found the greatest advances in Science and were set apart so that, some believe, they evolved to the next level of our species. Leaving the crude wisdom we all have shared behind them. Since the remaining members on the planet knew nothing about the ways of the housing, machinery, and technology that they used it went down into the pit of mental stagnation.

Crushed by the ignorant who willed the things to work and only got themselves fed up and mad at the devices so they literally destroyed the devices and the city of Atlantis. For lack of a better way to explain it.

U. S. A. ian's, not native of what was once the land of another people, we have become as much a representative of this country as the ancestors are of the Islanders, To name a few: Cuban, Porta Rican, Guatamalian, Granadian, Hawaiian. Continent of Americas: Canadian, Mexican, Sao Paulo, Chile, Peru. European Continent: France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Holland, Deutchland, Sweden. England, Scotland, Ireland, Italian, Russian, on and on, Chinese continent. Shang Hai, Hunan, Bejing, Hong Kong...India, Nepal, Korea, Viet Nam, Japan, Iceland, Australia. (I would name more of the continents and raise them so they were relative to this, and yet, I think they will understand.)

We of this United States are becoming U. S. A. ians, more and more, without even thinking about it. We are forming a New Nationality that will provide the World with a form of awareness, which will prove, some day, we are an Evolving cultural Human Form which may leap forward into the Realms of outer space or vanish again as many of the cultures did before us.

i will understand how perplexed you could experience, and for this reason i don't accept as true with inter-racial marriages. enable me clarify. i'm black, I even have mixed raced cousins, and nieces and a nephew. My Grandmother's grandfather became right into a WHITE guy from eire. maximum mixed race human beings i understand are perplexed because of the fact black human beings and white human beings have distinctive procedures of doing issues and distinctive procedures of 'performing'. as an occasion, maximum black human beings i understand does not kiss a dogs or enable it to sleep on our beds. i've got considered many circumstances of white human beings doing this, yet i understand they at the instant are not all nasty like that. That became into basically a random occasion of why you should be accused of 'performing' white. any way, in the experience that your mom raised you, of course your gonna act like her, no rely what clor she is. And on the top of the day, you're what you're. not something you're able to do can replace this, and besides the fact that that is oftentimes perplexing, your purely gonna could stick your midsection finger up and say F the international. that's the same advice i'm going to provide my nieces and nephew while then advance up. all the terrific.

Confront your parents and tell them that use wish to promote both sides of your heritage. Sit down with them and explain that you are the best of both sides. So therefore you would like balance rather then being bounched back and forth.

I'm mixed too. Racial comments are BS. Just live your life without worrying too much. Besides, everyone knows mixed people look best ;)

Funny, you would choose a such a light avatar with a wink . . . this question feels odd. Most multicultural people don't have problems with ethnicity since their families accept them as who they are. Tiger Woods had trouble explaining this to the press.

see this is why people can't come togather, because racism will always be around, expecially when you are different, just know you have no control over who you are and be happy to be you because we are all different in some shape or form
