im a 16 dwarf hunter and i just wanted to know.... when you go to lakeshire in redridge, what level about do you leave there and then were do you go? and also, are hunters good damage dealers? or is a druid better? thanks!

A 16, I'd recommend splitting time between Lakeshire and Loch Modan, with Darkshire and Wetlands being the next stop (around mid-20s, or when you run out of quests.) If you want to get some exploration XP out of it, you can also hit Darkshore (and then Ashenvale) in Kalimdor.
Mages and rogues are the best DPS classes (AoE and single-target, respectively), followed by warlocks, hunters, and fury warriors. Hunters make up for it by having options such as traps, party buffs, stings, and pets, which pretty much evens out the slight edge that rogues and mages get.
A cat-specced feral druid can approach a rogue in terms of damage, but gearing out one properly is exceptionally difficult, given the lack of good feral gear. This is supposed to be getting better in the expansion, especially in the Tier 4 armor, but that'll take some work to get to.

You should be in Lakeshire now from what I remember, Duskwood is next. Hunters can be excellent damage dealers depending on your spec, but druids can be too. All in what you like to play the most =)

You should leave there around your mid-twenties. After you finish there I would suggest going south to Duskwood.
Hunters are also a high damaging class. Yes, higher then druids in most casses. Rogues and Warlocks are the only other classes that can do near the ammount of damage that hunters can do.
