kb is kilobit and gigabit (not kilobyte or gigabyte)....
But, 1 kilobit = 1,024 bits
1 gigabit = 1,073,741,824 bits

So, 1073741824/1024 = 1,048,576

1 gigabit = 1,048,576 kilobits
