Well, in my personal opinion, I think you ahould get it now becuase no matter the price, it has a 160 GB hard drive (Maximum for a laptop), 14 inch screen, 1 GB ram (not even my desktop has that much!), and much more, people are gopuing t obut it. You see, the thing is that more people are ging into the business feilds and are in need of greater technology and the amain source that they choose is either Gateway, HP, IBM, or Fujistu and the laptop computer you are talking about was sole out a month ago, and they didn't have alot of stock left to support back orders. Get it now, before it is gone : )

Don't EVER buy a Gateway... they are CRAP!
When you are ready to buy a new system, go to www.stupidcheapcomputers.net. I buy all of my stuff from them, and everything is Vista ready.
Microsoft is about to release its latest operating system, Vista, in January. It’s going to make all of these “bargain” computers nothing but JUNK as soon as it’s released. The reason that you are seeing so many cheap systems on the market right now is because a lot of them CAN’T RUN Vista and the merchants are trying to dump them as hard and fast as they can before Vista shows up and everyone learns what a piece of crap they were sold for $500 (or whatever).
Anyway, I bought a complete, new system from stupidcheapcomputers.net with a warranty for LESS than it would cost me to build it myself or order a custom one from the manufacturer. You can use my frequent buyer code: ATX926. That will get an additional 10% discount at checkout.
I have NEVER had any problems with anything that they have sold me and their customer service is outstanding. Those guys blow my mind.
Good luck!

A gateway! I don't think so, Gateways are the poor system they ever have. I would prefer an Acer. Matter of fact I do sell Computers and Laptops. just go to http://www.mtechama.com and click on Computers in the categories on the left side.

If it is for yourself, I personally would wait til after the holidays. Items are marked up and put on sale for profit during this time. Better deals are normally in January.

that is going to likely be greater costly around Christmas, and additionally all of us would be snapping them up. i offered a Wii for my boyfriend final Christmas. i all started looking in August, and basically controlled to get one in October - or maybe then it became into basically because of the fact I begged the keep to ring me as quickly as they have been given inventory, and then rushed the 30 miles to the closest keep to %. it up. even however they rang me as quickly as they have been given the shipment interior the morning, by using the time I have been given there at lunch there have been basically 3 left. i'm chuffed I controlled to get it as quickly as I did, because of the fact closer Christmas the fee went up by using £one hundred ($2 hundred). Get it on the same time as you could, sweetie. Wiis are nonetheless warm on the Christmas lists this 365 days.
