Italians wouldn't be called Latinos, because in America that term only really refers to the ethnic/race/cultural group, not to the language itself.
But in Spain, the term "latino" translates to "Latins" which refers to those who speak Romance languages (including Italian). "Latins" is probably not a commonly used term outside of Europe or among people who study language, but nonetheless Italians technically can be referred to as "Latins."

No, in order for you to be considered latino you have to come from a latin american country (central or south america). In fact Mexicans are more often called Chicano but they can also be called Latino. People from Spain aren't even supposed to be called Latino, they are Spanish. And, latinos aren't supposed to be called Spanish even though a lot of people think all people that speak spanish can be called spanish. If you're from Italy you are Italian. Viva CHILE!

Italians are not considered Latino, the consider themselves strictly Italian. However, as things are the way they are I don't understand how so many people can't understand that they are no longer of one race. The bottom line is all people are just people today, because all races are mixed like it or not

That's a good question considering the Latins come from the region Latium in Italy; however, the term Latino(a) generally refers to the Hispanic culture, so I'd have to say no.

No. Latinos are from Latin America, between North and South America.

The language Latin was orignally what the Romans spoke, but Latin America is the long strip of land connecting North and South America.

No...they are European/Caucasian. Italians, French, Spanish, Portuguese, etc. all speak "Latin"-based languages. But "Latinos" are only the people who live in Latin America.
